Department of Information and Computer Technology goes INTERNATIONAL
The last quarter of 2017 had been the best for the Department of Information and Computer Technology. On December 8 - 15, 2017, three of our fourth year students competed and won during the TESDA Regional Skills Competition in DAVAO to represent not only the school but also the Region VII and competed in the TESDA Visayas – Mindanao Zonal Skills Competition, where they competed against different regions, namely Regions VI, VIII, IX, X, XI, XII, CARAGA, ARMM. In Davao, students were given few days to practice and be familiar with the place before the day of the competition. The coaches were called for several meetings for the event.
The competition proper was held for three (3) days, and the competitors where closely monitored. Each output for the day was evaluated by the experts of the field. Our students emerged winners in their respective skills namely, Carolino D. Villarta, Jr., Bronze – Graphics Design Technology, Jamiel L. Belarmino, Gold – Information Network Cabling and Vincent A. Villaluna, Gold – IT Network System Administration.
Our Gold Medalists during the TESDA Visayas-Mindanao Zonal Skills Competition, Vincent A. Villaluna for IT Network System Administrator and Jamiel L. Belarmino for Information Network Cabling, won the right to be part of the Philippine team to compete in the Asian Skills Competition to be held in Thailand and the World Skills Competition to be held in Russia.
